Hamilton Public Health Services in collaboration with Hamilton Police Service, Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board, and Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board developed parent resources in response to recommendations from the inquest into the 2010 alcohol poisoning death of a local youth, Christopher Skinner. The Strategies for Parents to Prevent Underage Drinking pamphlet and animated video provide some guidance for parents in understanding and tackling the tough issue of risky behaviours among youth, including alcohol consumption.
